Making of a Soxfords Sock

Each sock starts with an idea that then goes through dozens of mock-ups by our wonderful (and patient) designer, and any number of factory samples until things are perfect.

The entire process can take 6 months, or more!

I take a lot of pride in my designs, which is why you'll find fun details like finely stitched embroidery, and proprietary blends of Pima cotton that you can't find with any other brand. 

I enjoy the creative process so much that I even come up with strange little poems or vignettes about many of the designs I'm making, like so:  

Gone Fishin'

I know that I said I was going out fishin’,
But after hours afloat,
Out here on this boat,
I should really have said I was going out wishin’!

...
